Featured articles on the platform include:

Over $5.2 billion in total equity funding was raised by African startups in 2021. Fintech startups represented around 63% of total funding, and almost 10x growth year-on-year (Partech, 2021).  There is a very real demand and future for Web3 in Africa, as blockchain-powered financial services are recognized as the solution to solve the continent’s social and financial issues. However, consumer product literacy in Web3 and decentralized technology is still limited, and it is still difficult to capture credible data in this nascent market.

Addressing these pain points, NODO News serves as a reliable, consumer-first news source and Web3 educational tool for mass consumers, while NODO Discover helps consumers discover Web3 products and acquire financial literacy to get started with the decentralized space. NODO Discover will be launched by the end of Q1 2023.

“We are happy to announce the launch of the verified pan-African news service NODO News. With accurate and reliable news as well as educational content created by our industry expert team, we hope to improve Web3 literacy and knowledge in Africa and promote the adoption and development of this sector for the African market. Soon, we will launch the remaining component, NODO Discovery, to connect consumers, companies, and investors interested in Web3 to credible, pioneering projects in the continent. Learn, engage, and discover the best Web3 products in one place with our NODO platform,” said Shogo Ishida, Co-CEO of EMURGO Middle East & Africa.

UPCOMING LAUNCH – NODO DISCOVER

NODO will also launch its upcoming product, NODO Discover, by the end of Q1 2023. The NODO ecosystem will serve as a pan-African user demand and outreach service to connect Web3 product makers, users, and mass consumers towards the latest blockchain and Web3 innovation in Africa. The platform provides support to find credible, leading pioneers in Africa and help connect Web3 projects to an extensive network of global VCs, accelerators, incubators, as well as companies looking to enter Web3.

Currently, 100 African Web3 pioneering projects are already a part of NODO’s network, and we have access to over 1,000 African Web3 startups in the continent. NODO has also launched an outreach VC & Accelerator Program to build a robust Web3 network that can support the various emerging Web3 projects in Africa. So far, esteemed firms like Adanian Labs, Adaverse, and Kepple Africa Ventures have joined the program. NODO is also planning to launch a grant program for Web3 business ideas in Africa soon.

To learn more, users will be able to see future NODO Product updates and feature releases by Q1 2023.
